Grewgrass Lodge Self-catering Holiday Cabins
Established in 2006, GREWGRASS LODGE was lovingly created by Christine and David. Our two self
catering lodges sleep up to four people and are set in four acres of mature, secure and private woodland.
Having retired from working in the public sector, we developed Grewgrass Lodge from a run down, overgrown plot
of land to what we have today.
We decided to develop our property into a small family run business. We see our place as a 'little oasis'. It was so perfect to share that we decided to provide holiday accommodation in our lovely woodland setting.
After receiving our first guests with much anticipation and nervousness, we knew we had done the right thing when, before leaving, they booked another holiday with us! Since that day, we have never looked back and love every minute of our daily life. We have met some lovely people many of whom we now regard as friends, from all over the world, from as near as The Ings Redcar, to Sydney Australia, Ontario Canada, and Cape Town, South Africa.
We share our lives with our very friendly pets who are all rescued animals. Bruce is our handsome 10 year old cross Alsatian/Labrador. Shetland Pony Toby is about 15 yrs old, and our cats Alfie, Jack and Holly are all in their early teens! Not forgetting our 170 Free Range Chickens who supply us and the local community with fresh woodland eggs.
